Tips When Visiting the Niagara Falls

Almost everybody knows Niagara Falls but only a few probably know that this is Superman’s favorite spot of Superman. Well, it is no surprise that a lot of people come here. Niagara Falls is a popular destination for couples, adventure seekers, and families. So if you are planning to visit this wonderful place on earth, here are some tips that you can follow for a fabulous experience.

Don’t just stay for a day.

While many people are only here for a day, we suggest that you stay a couple of days longer. Stay in a nearby hotel with a great view of the Niagara Falls. Enjoy each morning that you wake up with a beautiful view – the experience is truly remarkable. Also Niagara is 400 miles from New York City so it really pays to stay for awhile in the place and enjoy a life away from the hustle-bustle of the city.

Book a boat tour.

Yes, you can go for a boat tour in Niagara. This will give the most spectacular view of the falls and of course feel the running waters just beneath you.  There are many boat tours around the area which will give you an awesome experience such as the Maid of the Mist or Hornblower Niagara Cruise. You can even up close to the falls. The Journey Behind the Falls is an exciting tour that lets you get close to the Horseshoe Falls but if you want to touch the falling water, you can opt for the Cave of the Winds. It will bring closer to the Bridal Veil Falls and even touch it.

Bring the kids.

Niagara Falls used to be a bridal capital where honeymooners would spend their lovely evenings. Over the years, it has gradually become a family destination as kids become more interested in nature. Niagara Falls is also safe for kids. There are kid-friendly spots in the area such as a butterfly park and a waterpark.

Prepare to get wet.

Getting wet is part of the fun in Niagara Falls. Even if you wear some raincoat or bring some umbrellas to protect you as you get closer to the falls, you can still get wet.  Better yet, bring some clothes so you can change instantly after touring around the Niagara Falls.

Visit during the summer.

The waters in Niagara Falls are really cold. So this could be a great opportunity to cool off during summer.  Take note, however, that summer is a peak season in Niagara so make sure you come prepared to mingle with the crowd.
